Dr. James Brewbaker discusses his experiences teaching at Columbus State University since 1971. For over 20 years, he has been involved in seeking and gaining national accreditation for the College of Education, was an NCATE examiner nationally, and was the chair of accrediting teams at other institutions. He discusses the changes in student demographics at CSU, the addition of the downtown campus, CSU's 25th Anniversary celebration, and the switch from the quarter system to the semester system.

Dr. James Brewbaker was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on August 7, 1939. His father was an attorney and his mother was a homemaker. Dr. Brewbaker earned three degrees from the University of Virginia, a bachelors in English, Masters in English Education, and doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in English Education.
